HOUSTON, TX — One person died Saturday evening after a crash involving a METRO bus on the Eastex Freeway near Houston’s Eastex/Jensen area, according to Click2Houston.
The collision occurred near the freeway’s (Interstate 69) intersection with Bennington Street at around 7:09 p.m.
Few details have been reported at this time, but authorities said a METRO bus collided with another vehicle.
The one passenger in the smaller vehicle died at the scene.
Both drivers suffered undisclosed injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
The bus was not transporting any passengers at the time of the accident.
