HOUSTON, TX — One person died Saturday night after a two-vehicle accident involving a suspected DUI driver in north Houston’s Stuebner Center neighborhood, according to Houston Chronicle.
The fatal crash occurred in the 10400 block of Veterans Memorial Drive at around 10:45 p.m.
A preliminary investigation shows a male driver was going northbound in a pickup truck when he collided with another pickup truck while it was turning onto the road from Moorebrook Drive.
Houston police confirmed the driver of the victim vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Their passenger was transported to a nearby hospital where they have since been listed in stable condition.
Authorities said the causing driving, who displayed signs of impairment, was also transported to a local hospital, where they are in critical condition.
No other information has been released, but an investigation was in progress.
