HOUSTON, TX — One person died Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Westpark Tollway near Houston’s Pheasant Cove area, reports Click2Houston.
The collision occurred on a span of the tollway between Synott Road and Eldridge Parkway South at around 3:09 a.m.
Few details have been reported on the circumstances behind the event, but police said they have reason to believe the pedestrian was a cyclist.
Both a vehicle and a heavily damaged bicycle were towed from the scene, according to KPRC 2 reporter Brittany Jeffers.
A section of the tollway was closed for an investigation.
