WALLER COUNTY, TX — A 59-year-old woman died Friday after a rollover school bus crash that hurt three others on Farm to Market Road 1887 in Hempstead, according to NBCDFW.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the collision occurred about 45 miles northwest of Houston at around 12:10 p.m.
It was unclear what caused the bus to roll, but the Hempstead school district bus was carrying four students and two adults, including its driver.
The victim, who was working as a student aide, died from her injuries at the scene.
One high school girl suffered serious injuries and was transported by airlift to a Houston hospital. Two other students and the driver of the bus were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. One student was not reported injured.
No further information has been released, but Hempstead ISD was cooperating with an investigation into the incident.
