HOUSTON, TX — Two children and four adults were injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash near southwest Houston’s Alief neighborhood, according to Houston Chronicle.
The accident happened at the intersection of Boone Road and Newbrook Drive shortly after 10:00 p.m.
Few details have been reported on the events leading up to the crash, but crews with Houston Fire had to perform a rescue extrication for two occupants who were trapped in a pickup truck after it crashed into a fence. They were transported to a local hospital upon their safe removal from the wreckage.
Four occupants in the second vehicle, including a boy and a girl, were also taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.
No further information has been released on the condition of the victims, but authorities said all six are expected to survive.
