HOUSTON, TX – A toddler who had wandered away from a West Houston home was hit by a vehicle and then rushed by air to a nearby hospital early on Sunday, Click2Houston reports.
Police say that a 2-year-old child had wandered away from a home on Overbrook Drive and was reported missing at 3:45 a.m. They subsequently received reports of a vehicle striking a toddler in the 13800 block of Westheimer Road.
Emergency responders rushed the critically injured child to an unspecified medical center via helicopter.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. It is unclear if they will face charges.
