HOUSTON, TX – Officials have released additional information concerning a fatal crash on Aldine Westfield Rd Friday.
According to the police, at around 12:15 p.m., the driver of a Chevrolet Cruz ran a red light and collided with a semi-truck that was turning onto westbound E Richey Rd from northbound Aldine Westfield Rd. The Chevrolet became wedged underneath the trailer of the semi-truck.
First responders transported the front passenger of the Chevrolet to an area hospital, where he later died. They took the driver of the Chevrolet to a local hospital in critical condition. The rear passenger of the Chevrolet suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The semi-truck driver was unharmed in the collision.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved in the wreck.
