HOUSTON, TX — A 44-year-old woman died early Sunday after a two-vehicle crash involving a suspected drunk driver in Houston’s Spring Branch Central area, according to Houston Police Department.
The fatal crash happened in the 9300 block of Long Point Road at around 3:40 a.m.
A preliminary investigation shows a 21-year-old man was driving a tan Isuzu Rodeo westbound on the road when he failed to stop at a red light and collided with a blue Toyota Corolla, which had the right-of-way.
The woman, who was sitting in the Toyota’s front passenger seat, died from her injuries at the scene.
Authorities arrested the causing driver at the scene. He now faces charges of intoxication manslaughter in the 338th State District Court.
