News: 2 Killed in Dramatic Crash on Westheimer Rd

HOUSTON, TX – Two people died in a dramatic head-on collision on Westheimer Rd on Monday morning, reports ABC 13.

According to police, a white car was speeding on westbound Westheimer Rd when its driver lost control of the vehicle between Yorktown St and Chimney Rock Rd after striking a median.

The force of the impact sent the white car into the eastbound lanes of Westheimer, where it collided with a black car, causing it to overturn onto its roof.

First responders pronounced the driver of the black car dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the white car was transported to an area hospital. where they died from their injuries.

The incident is under investigation by the Vehicular Crimes Division of the Houston Police Department.
