HOUSTON, TX – A man died after a collision involving a tractor-trailer at a busy northeast Houston intersection earlier this month.
According to a report by the Houston Police Department, the accident took place shortly before 2 p.m. within the 10400 block of Wallisville Road, near the intersection with Oates Road.
Investigators believe the 70-year-old man behind the wheel of a GMC C1500 pickup truck ran through the red light and collided with a Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer.
The man in the at-fault vehicle was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. It is unclear if the driver in the Freightliner was hurt.
