HOUSTON, TX — One person was hospitalized Monday morning after a serious crash on Sam Houston Parkway in north Houston, according to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable for Precinct 4.

Constable are investigating a major vehicle crash in the 1700 N Sam Houston Parkway.
The occupant was safely removed from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital. EXPECT DELAYS.

The accident took place in the 1700 block of North Sam Houston Parkway E near the Northgreen Park area. It was first reported by police at 6:30 a.m.
Little information has been reported on the circumstances behind the crash, but one occupant had to be extricated from the wreck before being transported to a nearby hospital.
Images shared by the constable show multiple police cruisers and crews responding to what appears to be a single-car accident. A severely mangled red car can be seen at rest on a grassy traffic median near a tree.
Morning commuters were told to expect delays in the area.
