HOUSTON, TX — One person died early Saturday after a two-vehicle accident on the Southwest Freeway near Houston’s Greenway/Upper Kirby neighborhood, according to Houston Chronicle.
Authorities said the fatal crash happened near Newcastle Drive at around 3:00 a.m.
Details are limited, but the victim vehicle was traveling slowly or was stalled when it was struck from behind by a pickup truck.
It was not immediately clear whether the victim died from their injuries at the scene or at a hospital.
A responding police cruiser was reported to have also been struck by a vehicle at the scene, though it was not occupied at the time.
