HOUSTON, TX — A 17-year-old boy died early Monday after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Houston’s Shenandoah neighborhood, reports NTV Houston.
The accident happened at the intersection of Ashcroft Drive and Dashwood Drive.
Authorities say the teen was speeding westbound on Dashwood Drive when his vehicle entered a ditch, and flipped multiple times. The car also appeared to have hit a fire hydrant and a street sign.
Officers arrived to find the car overturned on its roof and blocking the roadway.
The victim was found near the car and died at the scene.
An investigation by Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division was underway.
