News: 26-Year-Old Man Killed After Northside Crash

HOUSTON, TX – A man died as the result of a single-vehicle collision in north Houston early Sunday morning.

According to a report by the Houston Police Department, the accident took place at about 1:20 a.m. within the 800 block of Lonnie Lane, just west of I-45.

Responding officers say the 26-year-old man behind the wheel of a black Jeep lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons and crashed into a ditch. The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was rushed to the hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending further investigation.
