CROSBY, TX – One woman was killed and another was rushed to the hospital following a head-on collision in Crosby Wednesday evening.
According to a report by the Harris County Sheriff’s office, the accident took place just before 8 p.m. within the 17500 block of FM 2100.
Deputies say the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, Sonya Wingate, was traveling south when her vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle.
Wingate was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, Madison Thompson, was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
